Shiprock, New Mexico
I recently took a trip to a place called, Shiprock, just outside of Farmington, New Mexico. It was a beautiful morning to say the least and probably one of the top ten flights in my Paramotoring experiences.
I started the morning pretty early waking up around 5:am. After a little coffee and fueling up, I was ready for take-off about 1/2 hour before sunrise. With a short 100 foot LZ I took the skies. I was about 5 or 6 miles from the rock, so a short flight over and I started on one of the windward spines as I waited for sunrise. The rock stands about 1600 feet above the deck, so I climbed to about 2,350 ft. to make sure rotor would not get me while hanging out above it. The landing went just as smoothly and by 9:am we were on the road. This one was super fun!
